Umi Sukasih, the owner of Seblang Batik Tulis, continues a family tradition of batik-making that dates back to her great-grandmother. Growing up surrounded by batik, she developed her skills naturally and wholeheartedly. Inspired by the rich art and culture of Banyuwangi, she is committed to preserving traditional hand-drawn batik while introducing innovations that remain respectful of its heritage. She believes batik is a form of cultural identity and pride, and through each piece she creates, Umi aims to express gratitude, honor ancestral values, and share timeless beauty with those who wear her work.
